Insured patients

I am recognised by all major insurers and bill according to their guidelines. Please verify coverage with your insurer before treatment, as some insurers exclude consultations or specific treatments.

Self-funding patient fees

Consultation fees

• New consultation: £205
• Follow-up appointment: £150

Diagnostic tests (as of December 2025)

• OCT scans: £145
• Visual field tests: £95
• Biometry: £150
• Additional tests (ultrasound, blood work, X-rays, CT/MRI scans) available as needed

Procedure costs

YAG capsulotomy (includes hospital and surgeon fees):

• Single eye: £540 (plus appointment fee)
• Both eyes: £800 (plus appointment fee)

Cataract surgery at Gatwick Park includes a package price covering hospital fees, surgeon fees, and follow-up care. Local anaesthetic procedures: £2,000.

Billing process

Invoices are issued through Hythehopes billing company. You will receive itemised breakdowns before any procedures. Payment is not required on the day of service. You can pay an invoice online.

Important note

Expensive treatments like injected therapies for macular degeneration typically require NHS referral rather than private payment due to the ongoing costs involved.
